From his earliest childhood, he traveled throughout Russia, studying with some of the great cantors. Upon coming to America, he sang with the renowned Cantor Yosele Rosenblatt, and since then has held positions in many of the leading temples through- out the country, receiving widespread praise for his interpretation of Hebrew liturgy. The Malavsky Family choir is composed of the extremely talented children of the Cantor, and under his guidance they have been steeped in liturgical music and interpretation of the text with careful discipline and loving care. Here is truly a family that prays and stays together, but the inspiration that one feels upon hearing the Malavsky Family goes beyond this. Here is a family truly able to express in harmonious accord so many of the things that most of us families feel but cannot express nearly so well ...songs of happiness and joy, of tenderness toward one another, rousing songs full of family esprit, of one-ness. You might say, in this case, that music brings together the family that sings together. You feel that very much on this record.
