The file contains: Letters written by Max Brod to his wife Elsa: postcards Zempliner Comitat (15.III.20), Presov (22.III.20), Sobrance (16.IV.20), postcards Breclav (Lundenburg 16.VI.20) and Brno (Brünn 17.VI.20), postcard Hodonin (Göding 13.VII.20), with greetings from others, postcard from Brno (Brünn 15.VII. 20); from Janské Lázné (Johannisbad): 4 postcards (15.VIII.20, and unrecognizable dates), and one letter talking about a hike to Hoffmannsbaude (written before 12.8.20) and 6 undated letters; postcard from Prag (24.IX.20), postcard from Trnava (18.11.20), Nitra (two letters and two postcards 19.11.20) Nové Zámky (letter 20.11.20), Nagymihály-Michalovce (two postcards 20?.11.20), Liptovský Mikuláš (postcard 23.11.20), Kosice (postcard 24.11.20) Prešov (Eperjes postcard 26.11.20), Teplitz (postcard 12.12.?20), Berlin (postcard 16.12.20), Zwickau (postcard 18.12.20). The letters and postcards concern literature events, meeting the mothers of Oskar Erick and Wilfried; Kafka who seems very tired and whose behaviour worries Max, Felix Weltsch, Zionists in Nitra, Chomutov, Weinfeld's factory in Liptovský Mikuláš, the Misrachi organization of Bratislava. The correspondence in 1921 includes postcards from Berlin (4.2.21, 5.2.21, 6.2.21, 13.2.21, 31.7.21) mentioning concerts, opera, Brod's manuscript for "Tycho Brahes Weg zu Gott", one postcard from Prag to Else in Montecarlo at Hotel de Berne (16.III.21), correspondence from Max' vacation on the German Baltic coast at Dahme: one telegram (24.VII 21) three postcards (22.VII.21, 22.7.22 from Grube, 2.8.21), and five letters (17.7.21, envelope 19.7.21, 22.7.21, 25.7.21, 28.7.21), the letters mostly describe the vacation scene. There are also four postcards from the Zionist congress held in Karlsbad (September 1st to 14th, 1921), one of them a photo of Herzl, sent to Max and signed by Elsa, one a greeting from several people.
