Heinrich Eduard Jacob (Berlin 1889-Salzburg 1967) was a German-American journalist and author of Jewish descent. After being arrested by the Nazis in concentration camps, he and his wife Dora could eventually immigrate to the US in 1939, where he continued to write.

The collection was created by Prof. Jeffrey B. Berlin, scholar of Viennese Jewish literature. In November 2021, following his untimely death, it was permanently deposited at the library by his widow, Anne Berlin, with the aid of the library's friends in the US, NLI-USA. |
