| תקציר ביוגרפי |
Dr. Ignacio Isaac Bauer Landauer was a lawyer, scholar and businessman. He was born in Spain and moved to Switzerland 1950. In 1921 he married Olga, the daughter of Baron Alexander de Gunzburg of St. Petersburg. Under the influence of Max Nordau and A.S. Yahuda, who were in Madrid in the 1920s, he became interested in Zionism, Sephardi Jews, Morocco and Spain. For many years he sent rare and valuable gifts to the JNUL, including his collection of 800 books. He visited Israel many times and he died on a visit to Israel, in Haifa, a few days short of his 70th birthday. |
