An overview of Jewish resistance in occupied France, published on the occasion of the opening of a Jewish Resistance in France Auditorium at Yad Vashem in March 1982. Lists the various resistance organizations, the circumstances under which they were created, and their goals and guidelines of action. Discusses what made them Jewish and why there was a need for a separate Jewish resistance in France. Contends that the Jews responded to Hitler's war aimed specifically at them, in addition to fighting for France against Nazism and its Vichy collaborators.
