Memoirs of a Hungarian Jew, born in 1934 in Debrecen; pp. 49-81 relate his experiences in the Holocaust. After the German occupation in March 1944, Feldman was interned with his parents and four siblings in the Debrecen ghetto, but they were soon deported to the Strasshof internment camp in Austria, and then to do forced labor in Vienna. In March 1945 they were sent on a death march; after being abandoned by the guards, they wandered from place to place until the end of the war. They emigrated to Israel in 1948.
