מלחמת צ'צ'ניה הראשונה (השם הרשמי ברוסיה: המבצע להשבת הסדר החוקתי ברפובליקת צ'צ'ניה) היא מלחמה שהתרחשה בשטחי צ'צ'ניה ובאזורי צפון הקווקז בין כוחות צבא ומשטרה רוסיים לבין הרפובליקה הצ'צ'נית של איצ'קריה שהכריזה על עצמה באופן חד צדדי כמדינה עצמאית בשנת 1991 ותבעה להיפרד מהפדרציה הרוסית. מטרת המבצע הייתה להשתלט על המחוז הבדלני ולהשיבו לשליטת הממשלה הפדרלית. המלחמה ארכה שנתיים ובמהלכה נהרגו אלפי חיילים רוסים, אלפי חמושים צ'צ'ניים ועשרות אלפי אזרחים צ'צ'נים. רבים ראו במלחמה כטיהור אתני שרוסיה ביצעה כנגד האוכלוסייה האזרחית בצ'צ'ניה מאחר שעשרות אלפי אזרחים צ'צ'נים נהרגו ומאות אלפים הפכו לפליטים. המלחמה אומנם הסתיימה בתבוסה צבאית גדולה לכוחות הרוסים שנכשלו בהשגת מטרת המבצע, אך הצבא הרוסי לא בחל באף אמצעי לזריעת הרס חסר הבחנה במחוז המורד.
