- Revivir el pasado con el hálito del presente, 2018:p. 102-103 (Elena Arizmendi; Elena Arizmendi Mejía was born in 1884 within a liberal family of Oaxaca; studied 1909-1911 at the nurses' training school of the Santa Rosa hospital in San Antonio, Tex.; combining her profession with her political inclination, she founded the Cruz Blanca Neutral on May 5, 1911, to support the revolutionary faction [in the Mexican Revolution]; fled with José Vasconcelos to New York and later Europe; decided to settle and create a life of her own in the city that never sleeps [New York]; there she began to fight for feminist ideals, published the journal Feminismo Internacional, created the Liga de Mujeres Ibéricas e Hispanoamericanas and worked as a teacher; returned to Mexico in 1938 and died there in 1949)
