- W. Royal Stokes Collection (author, historian, critic, and radio broadcaster W. Royal Stokes (1930-2021), began donating materials from his vast collection to the Felix E. Grant Jazz Archives at the University of the District of Columbia. The collection currently comprises over 9,000 commercial sound recordings, 5,000 books, periodicals, and archival materials together with his professional papers, that cover his work as a writer for the Washington Post, and feature writer, editor and reviewer for Jazz Times and the Jazz Journalists Association (JJA) Jazz Notes.
