- Scanlon, Jennifer. American women historians, 1700s-1990s, 1996:pages 45-46 (Hannah O'Brien Chaplin Conant, 1809-1865, religious historian. Born in Danvers, Massachusetts. Moved with her husband and children to Hamilton, New York and became editor of "Mother's Monthly Journal" and wrote a biography of a missionary and a history of the translation of the the Bible. Also translated a number of German works into English. Died February 18, 1865.)
