- History of Duncker & Humblot (English version) (established 1798 by Heinrich Frölich and Friedrich Vieweg; Carl Friedrich Wilhelm Duncker and Peter Humblot acquired the company in 1809; focus on scholarly publishing, especially in philosophy; purchased in the second half of the 19th century by Carl Geibel and moved to Leipzig; based in Munich and run by Ludwig Feuchtwanger in 1920s; in 1938, bought by Johannes Broermann and moved back to Berlin; taken over by Broermann's nephew Prof. Dr. h.c.
