The author offers information of regarding her research on traditional Jewish music. She states that while researching musical manuscripts of German Jewish origin musical manuscripts, she found one song based on the infamous 17th century expulsion of Jews incident. She said that it was found that mostly modern melodies were used in 'Thanksgiving' Psalms. The linear chants for Tehillim were considered as too simple and boring. |
