Argues that the antisemitism which developed in the Federal Republic of Germany after 1945 is not a continuation of previous antisemitism. It originates in the guilt-feelings of the Germans and their psychological reactions to the Holocaust (i.e. repression of guilt). Contends that unlike prewar antisemitism, which was based on political ideology, postwar antisemitism is an expression of private prejudice.
