تعرَّف المراسلة الجنسية (الإنجليزية: sexting) بأنها إرسال أو استقبال أو إعادة توجيه رسائل أو صور أو مقاطع فيديو ذات محتوى جنسي صريح، غالباً عبر الهواتف المحمولة. وقد يشمل أيضاً استخدام الحاسوب أو أي جهاز رقمي آخر. شاع استخدام مصطلح (Sexting) في أوائل القرن الحادي والعشرين، وهو مُشتق من كلمتي "جنس" (بالإنجليزية: Sex) و "رسائل نصية" (بالإنجليزية:texting)، حيث يُقصد بالكلمة الأخيرة المعنى الواسع لإرسال نص، ربما مصحوباً بصور. لا يُعد تبادل الرسائل الجنسية ظاهرةً معزولة، بل هو أحد أنواع التفاعل الجنسي المتعددة في السياقات الرقمية، والمرتبطة بالإثارة الجنسية.
