The Aleksandrovskai︠a︡ [Oleksandrivsʹka] gubernii︠a︡ was renamed the Zaporozhskai︠a︡ [Zaporizʹka] gubernii︠a︡ [no publs. in LC data base] on 03-23-1921 and abolished on 12-01-1922. During the administrative reforms of 1922-1925 on the lands of the former Zaporizʹka gubernii︠a︡ were established the Zaporizʹkyĭ, Melitopolʹsʹkyĭ, and Berdi︠a︡nsʹkyĭ okruh [no publs. in LC data base] which then formed the basis of the modern Zaporizʹka oblastʹ)
