Wikipedia, Nov. 16, 2005(Crunk music (also spelled Krunk Muzik) is a specific type of hip hop music, based out of the southern United States, particularly on the eastern side of Atlanta, Georgia, and Memphis, Tennessee. While most crunk-style music could be called Dirty South or southern rap, the reverse is not necessarily true)
About Rap/Hip-Hop WWW site, Dec. 27, 2005(Crunk music: spawned in Atlanta, with roots deeply planted in the fertile southern soil of Bass; think of it as hip-hop's version of punk or metal rock)
