- Geoffrey W. Ribbans, April 15, 1927-March 29, 2022; born in London; graduate of Kings' College London; professor of Spanish; taught at Belfast, St. Andrews, Sheffield, and Liverpool universities; in 1978 he emigrated to the U.S. where he was appointed the William R.
