Sufi Abdul Hamid (1903-1938), born Eugene Brown, was an African-American religious and labor leader, among the first African-American converts to Islam, and an antisemite. The section "Black-Jewish conflict and the jobs campaign" (pp. 226-234) discusses the issue of antisemitism in the Blacks’ campaign, in the 1930s in Harlem, to boycott stores which did not hire Blacks, and in the rhetoric of Sufi Abdul Hamid, who was highly involved in this campaign.
