العنوان The pogrom of Jews in Kielce, July 4, 1946.
هذا جزء من Yad Vashem Studies 22 (1992) 199-235
الوصف A reconstruction of the events of the Kielce pogrom. It was provoked by the disappearance of a 9-year-old Polish boy who, after his return, alleged that he had been held in a cellar of a Jewish house on Planty St. The pogrom broke out on this spot and spread to other parts of the city. Many people participated in the pogrom, including policemen and soldiers. 42 Jews were murdered, and about 50 were wounded, some by gunshots, others by bayonets. The pogrom in Kielce triggered a wave of massacres of Jews in trains throughout Poland.
