العنوان The hidden Holocaust.
هذا جزء من Commentary 79,3 (1985) 32-42
الوصف A somewhat obscured aspect of the destruction of the European Jews is that it had considerable support throughout Europe. There was a willingness of non-German peoples to cooperate in "getting rid of the Jews". In the West, there is acknowledgment on the part of historians and politicians that large numbers of non-Germans supported the annihilation of the Jews, but in Eastern Europe the view is that the Holocaust was the work of the Germans, and that the great majority of Eastern Europe was opposed to the antisemitism of the Third Reich.
