Presents the biography of a granddaughter of Sigmund Freud. She and her parents emigrated to France in 1933, received French citizenship in 1938, and lived in Nice. Eva's parents left for the USA in 1943. Against the background of the situation of the Jews in the South of France, describes Eva's life as an example of double difficulties living as a Jewess and a woman in Vichy France. Living on false papers, Eva died in hospital in 1944 due to complications after an illegal abortion.
