Paul Glikson (1921 Warsaw – 1983 Jerusalem) was a publicist, translator, public activist and historian who specialized in the demography of Polish Jewry. His father, a joint owner of a bank in Warsaw, was a Zionist activist. In 1940 the family escaped to Eretz Israel, and Paul joined the Polish Army of General Anders. He studied economics at the University of Rome, University of Bologna, and at the London School of Economics and Political Science from which he graduated in 1951. He was secretary of the Cultural Department of the World Jewish Congress in London and editorial secretary of The Jewish Journal of Sociology. After he moved to Israel, he worked at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. The private archive of Paul Glikson includes materials on the history and statistics of the Jewish population in Poland, copies of various articles and books, bibliographic notes, and newspapers’ clippings --
