He was due to give an address on "Ethics and Environmental Ideology" to participants of the SPNI's 40th anniversary celebrations in Eilat, Performing at the celebrations will be famous American jazz musician Paul Winter. The Dalai Lama has lived in India since 1959 - exiled by the Chinese from his Tibetan home, The Chinese are anxious that any legitimacy accorded to the Dalai Lama and the Tibetans will undermine their rule of the area.
