Sephardim and the Holocaust

World War II brought about the destruction of the Sephardic center in the Balkans; nonetheless. after the war, the Sephardic victims of the Holocaust were rendered to oblivion. Presents a brief history of the Holocaust in the Balkan states - Greece, Yugoslavia, and Bulgaria. The genocide was committed in three ways: deportation of Jews to Nazi camps, as in Greece; mass murder by Germans, as in Serbia; and mass murder by locals, as in Croatia. Only the Jews of Bulgaria, due to various circumstances, were saved from destruction.
