Jüdisches Leben in Kleve

Pp. 101-111, "Die Klever Juden im Dritten Reich", relate that 150 Jews were living in Kleve before 1933. Two-thirds were expelled and ca. one-third were murdered during the Holocaust. The exhibition shows Nazi election posters, lists of Jewish enterprises, pictures of the burned synagogue, information on Jewish emigrants, Gestapo orders concerning the evacuation of Jews in 1943, photographs from Auschwitz, etc. Includes a list of former residents of Kleve who were Holocaust victims. A memorial monument was erected on the former site of the synagogue in 2002.
