Memoirs of a Polish pharmacist (1908-1993), the proprietor of the pharmacy "Pod Orlem" in Kraków, which was included in the area of the ghetto in 1941. Pankiewicz received permission from the Nazi authorities to remain and work in his pharmacy. He witnessed events in the ghetto and its liquidation in 1942. Pankiewicz and his employees helped the ghetto inhabitants in many ways. He describes his contacts with many people living in the ghetto. In 1983 Yad Vashem awarded him the title "Righteous among the Nations".
