Christian antisemitism

Analyzes the roots of Christian anti-Judaism, from the Gospel of John and up to the present. States that anti-Judaism is embedded in the foundation documents of the faith, and established the basis of later antisemitism. Examines theological expressions of anti-Judaism in the Church Fathers, and popular forms of anti-Jewish prejudices (e.g. blood libels, Host desecration accusations, the Black Death). Mentions also the Christian roots of secularized anti-Judaism, the thinkers of the Enlightenment, the left-wing Hegelians (especially Karl Marx), as well as racial and political antisemitism in modern times. Discusses the Vatican's attitude during the Holocaust, Pope Pius XII's "silence, " and post-Holocaust Christian theology.
