Unfortunately their dream never took place as they were all executed in August 1942 in the forest near their home. Tzipporah made aliyah in 1933. She was a member of a kibbutz her whole life. This was the life-style she chose for herself. She worked in different jobs: the vegetable garden, chicken coops, children's house, and for many years as an accountant. She said, "I earn my salary not from my work, but from finding the mistakes of the suppliers, and this is much more than any salary I would have gotten from my work." Tzipporah met Avshalom in 'Pelogot Haim', where they fell in love. They settled and raised their four children, (Ada, Yoav, Batya and Moshe) in Kibbutz Maoz Chaim. Tzipporah was a dedicated woman, mother and grandmother. Her house was filled with grandchildren and great-grandchildren who flocked to her because of her warm hospitality, her delicious cooking and cakes. She passed away on 24 February 2003. Written by: Ada Kanosov daughter of Avshalom and Tzipporah Yaacobi This picture album affords us a peek into a piece of history from the end of the 19th century, the beginning of the re-settlement of Israel: the settlement project of Kibbutz Maoz Chaim that was built in the framework of 'chomah ve migdal', the draining of the swamps in the Beit She'an Valley, Jewish labor in the fields, from the period that preceded the founding of the state and afterwards. In addition we see the first trip around the Dead Sea of youngsters, high school graduates, members of the hachshara of Kibbutz Na'an in 1934. These pictures were taken by Rafi Tahun who participated in the adventure and gave the pictures to Avshalom Yaacobi.
