They married and had four children. Among his many positions in the air force, he was the commander of squadron 103, head of activities, the military attaché in Paris, in charge of training, military attaché in Turkey (1965), and served in the Mossad as the head of the Ministry of Defense delegation and their representative in Europe (1969-1974). From 1974-1978 Paul was a member of the group who founded the "Beit Hatfutzot Museum" and served as the head curator. In 1978 he was appointed as the Counsel General to New York. He held this position until 1981. He directed the Community Center in the Northern city of Shlomi as part of his social activism. In 1982, during the war of 'Shalom Hagalil' he served as the military spokesman in Beirut, Lebanon. In 1984 he served as the Secretary of Ezer Weizman's political party- Yachad. He was also active in the Va'ad Leman Hachayal" (the organization for the welfare of the soldiers). One of the hobbies he developed over the years was binding old books.
