Biographical summary Ilia Rodov is Professor at the Department of Jewish Art, Bar-Ilan University. He is the editor of Ars Judaica: Bar Ilan Journal of Jewish Art and co-editor of Jews, Judaism, and the Arts book series (Brill). His publications explore Jewish visual culture and synagogue art.Before repatriation to Israel, Ilia Rodov graduated from the Faculty of Theory and History of Art of the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E. Repin in Leningrad, USSR. He also was an active member of Jewish comunity of Bobrujsk, initiated the creation of the Club of Jewish Culture named after Menahem Moyher-Sforim, Hebrew courses, celebration of Jewish holidays, and memorial events.
