Noime to David Rik in Panevėžys referring to his feelings and thoughts about cultural-spiritual Jewish life in Riga (1904). The collection also holds an undated practice notebook belonging to Yetta in Hebrew with summaries of Ahad Ha'am (Asher Zvi Hirsch Ginsberg) writings. The poetry of Z.G. Noime include a book dedicated to Yetta for Purim “Asefat shirei zion” (A Collection of Songs of Zion) and poems that reflect events related to Jewish history and the political situation in 1903-1904. Biographical summary Leah (Yetta) Seltz-Rozenberg was born in Panevėžys, Lithuania (then Russian Empire) in 1884 and died in Cape Town, South Africa in 1944. Her parents were Shlomo Zalman Rozenberg (1830-1912) and Esther Tema Rozenberg (1857-1943). In 1903-1904 she studied Hebrew from Z.G. Noime (or Neuman) and fell in love with her teacher, who dedicated some of his Hebrew poems in her honor. Yetta’s parents did not agree to this romance as Z.G. Noime was ill with tuberculosis. Yetta was an amateur actress, but she hid this from her father who was very religious. In 1908 she married Joseph Seltz and lived in Šiauliai. During World War I the family fled to Tula in the Russian interior where Yetta's brother, Avram Lezer, lived. After the war they returned to Šiauliai, and Yetta’s children (Chaya and Hillel) studied at the Hebrew Gymansium "Tarbut." In 1930 the family emigrated to Cape Town, South Africa.
