Golembowicz, Dov

Dov Golembowicz, a member of Kibbutz Nirim, was a Hashomer Hatzair shaliach to Australia in the 1950s. In the 1980s, he studied at the Institute of Contemporary Jewry, Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He wrote a seminar paper was on the arrival and absorption of Holocaust survivors in Australia, 1945-1949. He also was in charge of the Kibbutz's archive --

The collection also includes original materials from the estate of Leo Fink, President of the Jewish Welfare and Relief Society, correspondence of other Jewish organizations in Australia, articles on Jewish immigration to Australia, academic papers, Jewish communities, newspaper cuttings, materials belonging to the Hit'ahadut Ole Australia and New Zealand, documents on Australian olim and Israel-Australia relations.
