The postcard was issued on the occasion of the second anniversary of the Societe Philodramatique Israelite in Cairo, which was celebrated on the 9th of May 1909 as is specified in the title. We can see a group picture of the members, men and women. Some of them are dressed in costume, other in elegant suits. The group had been performing Yankev's Gordin's play der vilder mentsh (The Wild Man) as is written in Yiddish at the left side of the postcard. [S.H]
