Description
The present collection comprises a large number of copies (regesta) from archival and library research on Jewish history in German-speaking countries, especially Bavaria. David is known to have written the family history, "Die Geschichte der Wassermann'schen Familie" (see Wassermann Family collection at LBI, NY.) that records the family's heritage from 1423. Since a certain classification system is not evident, the collection is in its original order and is neither thematically nor chronologically arranged. The function and reference of the name and subject register, which is part of the collection, are also unclear. A connection with Wassermann's collection of copies is not evident.
