| השיר נכתב על ידי חנה סנש ביוגוסלביה בתאריך 02.05.1944, זמן קצר לפני שחצתה את הגבול להונגריה. השיר הפך לסמל לרוח ההקרבה של לוחמי המחתרת בארץ ישראל. השיר עם הלחן של דאוס פורסם בספר: דאוס, אברהם, "חמש נעימות", תל אביב, עם ההערה "רמת הכובש, 1945". קיים לחן נוסף של דוד זהבי, גם כן משנת 1945. |
