Der Gedallje hat geschellt;Hat geschellt un hat gerisse, hat gezoge un gezoppt,Hat Barademärsch getrommelt uff der Dhir un Storm gekloppt.Guck, da öffent sich e Fenster un der Nathan guckt eraus,Un err rieft enabb: "Wer trummelt, schellt un lärmt so an mei Haus?"Un Gedallje segt: "Herr Nathan, ich bin's doch, Herr Nathan, ich!"No, was gibts dann, Herr Gedallje?" segt der Nathan ärjerlich."Was es gibt?
