מבחר מייצג של פריטים מתכנון מִתאר וחדר אוכל מתוך אוסף אריה ואלדר שרון המופקד בארכיון עזריאלי לאדריכלות. קיבוץ כפר בלום הוקם ב–1941 על גבעה (תל–נעמה) בעמק החולה. הגרעין הורכב מחברי תנועת הבונים מאנגליה, שאליהם הצטרפו חברי הנוער הצופי החלוצי (נצ"ח) מלטביה, ליטא ואסטוניה (בראשית דרכו הוא נקרא לכן "הקיבוץ האנגלו–בלטי"). בימים הראשונים עבדו החברים במשק שוורץ, שהוקם ב–1920 על–ידי משפחת עולים מווינה. הם פיתחו את ענף הלול, זרעו חיטה ומספוא, גידלו תפוחי אדמה ושתלו גן ירק, אך התנאים הקשים בתל–נעמה אילצו את הנשים והילדים לעזוב את המקום לזמן–מה לבנימינה. ב–1943 הבינו החברים שהקבוצה לא תוכל להתקיים בתל–נעמה ועקרו משם שני קילומטרים מזרחה, לנקודה שהיתה ליישוב הקבע של הקיבוץ. לאחר העלייה לקרקע בנובמבר 1943 נקרא הקיבוץ על שם ליאון בלום, מנהיג המפלגה הסוציאליסטית הצרפתית בשנות ה–30 וראש ממשלת צרפת בשנים 1938-1936. שרון - שאז כבר היה עתיר ניסיון בתכנון לקיבוצים - הוזמן להכין תוכנית מִתאר לאתר החדש, והציע מתכונת דומה לזו שיישם בקיבוצים אחרים: חלוקה שניונית לאזור משק ואזור מגורים, שבמרכזו המדשאה המרכזית ומשני צדדיה חדר אוכל ובית תרבות. באזור המגורים מיקם שרון גם כיתות ובתי ילדים. חרף הדמיון לקיבוצים אחרים, בתכנון כפר בלום כלל שרון צמחייה רבה יותר עם מרחבים גדולים יותר בין הבתים. ב–1950 תכנן שרון לקיבוץ גם חדר אוכל (בשני אגפים, אולם אוכל ומטבח) ואת בית תנועת הבונים, שלא בוצע.
