Scope and content Regulations of the Jewish Community of Venice, governing the taxation of the Jewish residents and businessmen of Venice and the surrounding cities, including Padua, Verona, and Rovigo, as well as of foreign Jewish businessmen conducting commercial transactions in these areas. A ban was to be imposed upon anyone who would violate these regulations. Sextons were instructed to distribute them in all the synagogues and public places where Jews gather. Issued Thursday, 24 Sivan 5504 (June 4, 1744).
