Piyut Interpretation

  • •         פֻּרְקָן - גאולה, ישועה.

    •         הַגְּבוּרוֹת - פעולות ההצלה והמלחמה שעשה הקב"ה.

    •         הַתְּשׁוּעוֹת - ההצלה.

    •         שֶׁעָשִׂיתָ עִמָּנוּ - שעשית לנו.

    •         בַּיָּמִים הָהֵם - בשנים עברו.

    •         בַּזְּמָן הַזֶּה - בזמן הזה בשנה, בתאריך הזה.

    •         בִּימֵי מָרְדְּכַי וְאֶסְתֵּר בְּשׁוּשַׁן הַבִּירָה - הזמן והמקום שבהם התרחש סיפורו של החג: בתקופת חייהם של מרדכי ואסתר, בעיר שושן, בירת האימפריה הפרסית.

    •         כְּשֶׁעָמַד עֲלֵיהֶם הָמָן הָרָשָׁע / כְּשֶׁעָמַד הָמָן הָרָע עַל עַמְּךָ בֵית יִשׂרָאֵל - כשקם המן כאויב נגד עם ישראל וניסה להשמידם.

    •         הָמָן הָרָע - כך בלשון המגילה (אסתר, ז, ו): "איש צר ואויב המן הרע הזה".

    •         וּבִקֶּשׁ - רצה, ניסה.

    •         לְהַשׁמִיד לַהֲרוֹג וּלאַבֵּד אֶת כָּל הַיְּהוּדִים מִנַּעַר וְעַד זָקֵן טַף וְנָשִׁים בְּיוֹם אֶחָד, וּשׁלָלָם לָבוֹז - ציטוט מלשון המגילה (אסתר ג, יג).

    •         לאַבֵּד - להשמיד, לא להשאיר זכר.

    •         בְּיוֹם אֶחָד - בי"ג באדר, אשר בו מציינים היום בד"כ את תענית אסתר.

    •         וּשׁלָלָם לָבוֹז - לבזוז את רכושם וכספם כשלל.

    •         עָמַדתָּ לָהֶם בְּעֵת צָרָתָם - הצלת אותם ולחמת את מלחמתם.

    •         וְדַנתָּ אֶת דִּינָם - הצלת אותם ועשית צדק; שפטת והענשת את אויביהם. הביטוי מופיע שלוש פעמים בירמיה (ה כח; כב, טז; ל, יג) בהקשר דומה של הצלת המסכנים מיד מעניהם שלא בצדק.     

    •         וְרַבתָּ אֶת רִיבָם - עשית משפט צדק בינם לבין יריביהם. כמו: "ריבו אלמנה" (ישעיהו א, יז).

    •         עֲצָתוֹ - תכניתו, מחשבתו.

    •         וַהֲשֵׁבוֹתָ לּוֹ גְמוּלוֹ בְּרֹאשׁוֹ - גמלת לו כמעשיו, ומה שהוא ביקש לעשות לאחרים - למרדכי היהודי - נעשה בסופו של דבר לו עצמו: הוא ניתלה על העץ שהכין בשביל לתלות את מרדכי.

    •         הָעֵץ - עץ התלייה, כעין גרדום.

    •         וְעָשִׂיתָ לְּךָ שֵׁם גָּדוֹל בְּעוֹלָמֶךָ - פרסמת והאדרת את שמך כאלוהים בעולם.

    •         שֵׁם - מוניטין.

    •         כְּשֵׁם שֶׁעָשִׂיתָ עִמָּהֶם - כמו שעשית איתם בזמנם.

    •         בָּעֵת וּבָעוֹנָה הַזֹּאת - בימים האלה, בהווה.

    •         עֵת, עוֹנָה - זמן.
