We can see on the right the high ramparts which surround the quarter and in the background the fortified gate of the Mellah (called Bab el-Mellah?) which marks the entrance of the Jewish quarter. The street is lively and crossed by several people. They are all dressed with traditional clothes and headdresses. The title of the postcard indicates the presence of the mosque Sidi Horche; We distinguish indeed in the background, out of the Mellah, a tower which overhangs the landscape. [S.H]
