Edm. von König, Heidelberg. 1203.;Text on the back -Post-Karte An...... in....;Production period - Before 1904;founders, architects, painters etc. - Sohn, Professor;Category - Art reproduction;Description - A horizontal format depicting a reproduction of a copper engraving of Loreley (or Lorelei), a Rhine maidens known to have lured boats to their doom with her singing while sitting on a rock in the Rhine by the same name. The engraving was made by Professor Sohn in another publishing house, and this is probably a later use of it. On the right is the first verse of Heinrich Heine's (1797-1856) poem 'The Lorely'.
