הדפס שחור לבן של תצלום סטודיו מבויים, ובו נראים תלמידי "מקווה ישראל" מחופשים לבדואים ואוחזים בידיהם אלות ורובים. על פי הכתובית שהודפסה בתחתית התצלום, חניכי המוסד החקלאי הצטלמו למזכרת בירושלים, בחזרם ממסע שערכו אל עבר הירדן המזרחי. התצלום מודבק על גבי כרטיס בתבנית Cabinet Card, שבגבו מודפסים פרטי הצלם, ליאון כ"ץ מהמושבה פתח תקווה (Photograph Léon Katz, Petah Tikwah) והמו"ל, מיכל הורוויץ, שפעל בעיר יפו. על פי החותמות שבגב התצלום, הוא נתרם לבית הספרים הלאומי - "גנזי יוסף" על ידי ד"ר יוסף חזנוביץ', ביאליסטוק, בראשית המאה העשרים. |
