Save the honour of civilization!

Enlarge text Shrink text

Discusses the tragedy of the "Struma", the ship which sank in the Black Sea in February 1942 on its way from Romania to Palestine with 769 Jewish refugees on board. There was only one survivor. Argues that to this day the reasons why the ship sank are not known, and that the British, Turkish, Russian, German, and Romanian governments, all of them involved in this issue, did nothing to find out the truth. Calls for opening the relevant archives and disclosing the truth. Includes interviews with people who were connected with the "Struma" incident, and an interview of the survivor David Stolear conducted by Maria Arsene (pen-name of Arthur Mendelovici) in 1972.
