Sefer Pardes Yosef, 2021:title page (ha-Rav Mosheh Yosef Rubin, zatsal = הרב משה יוסף רובין, זצ''ל ) title page verso (Rabbi Moshe Yosef Rubin of Campalung, Bukovina [in rom.]) page 441, etc. (born Erev Rosh Ḥodesh Elul 655 (August 19, 1895) in Volye Mikhava in Galicia [Wola Michowa, Poland]; son of R. Menaḥem Pinḥas and Bela; R. Rubin spent his childhood in Siret, Romania, and in 1923 became rabbi in Kimpulung [Cîmpulung], Romania where he strengthened Orthodox Jewish observance. At the beginning of World War II, in 1940, he relocated to Bucharest, Romania, where he estblished a yeshiva. After the war, in 1946, R. Rubin relocated to Prague, Czech Republic until 1948 when he settled in the United States and became a rabbi in Long Beach, N.Y. He later settled in Brooklyn, N.Y. where he became president of the World Center of European Rabbis. R. Rubin died 5 Adar 740 [February 22, 1980])
