- German Wikipedia, Jun. 16, 2013:"Balderich von Bourgueil" (Balderich von Bourgueil, occasionally Balderich von Dol; Latin: Baldericus Burgulianus oder Baldericus Burguliensis; French: Baudri de Bourgueil; born 1046 in Meung-sur-Loire, south of Orléans, died Jan. 7, 1130 in Préaux; French abbot and bishop, author and poet, 11th/12th centuries; became Benedictine monk, avancing to prior of the monastery of St. Peter in Bourgueil, and abbot in 1089; named metropolitan of Dol in Brittainy by pope Paschal II at the council of Troyes in 1107; he was unhappy with appointment, not faring well with those committed to his charge, and Balderich was often absent from his see, traveling as far as Normandy, England and Rome; he was deposed in 1120 and retired to Saint-Samson-sur-Rille; died Jan. 7, 1130 in Préaux)
