Then as part of Right-Bank Ukraine Ostroh was reunited with Russia. Soviet authority was established there in Jan. 1918. In 1920 it was occupied by Polish forces. In 1939, as part of the Western Ukraine, Ostroh was reunited with Soviet Ukraine)
