Šlapanice (Czech pronunciation: [ˈʃlapaɲɪtsɛ]) is a town in Brno-Country District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 7,900 inhabitants. The town is located on the Říčka Stream in the Dyje–Svratka Valley. The main landmark is the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.
