(commonly known as Alliance Atlantis and commonly shortened to simply Alliance or Atlantis) was a Canadian media company that operated primarily as a specialty service operator in Canada. Founded 1998, defunct 2008. Alliance Atlantis was a merger of two companies founded in 1978 as Atlantis Communications and in 1985 as Alliance Communications. Both companies merged in 1998.
