- Richard Kerner, b. 3 January 1943 in the U.S.S.R., is a French theoretical physicist of Polish origin. His research fields are gravitation, cosmology, field theory, condensed matter physics, non-commutative geometry, quantum mechanics, physical chemistry, and biomathematics. He received his bachelor's degree at the Lycée Reytan (Liceum im. Tadeusza Reytana) in Warsaw, earned a master's degree at the University of Warsaw (1960-1965), and his doctoral degree at Pierre-et-Marie-Curie University in 1975.
