Had Lim acknowledged the latter date, he would not have been eligible to attend the academy; the spelling Vicente was changed from Vincente while Lim was at West Point) chapter 11 (court-martialed by the Japanese and convicted of treason on November 24, 1944 and made the fateful trip to an anonymous grave in Manila North Cemetery a few days later. Lim's remains were never identified; the day of his death was never determined with certainty)
